Scuba Diving in the South China Sea

Several years ago Cameron and I traveled to Southeast Asia together with a group and were able to experience crazy adventures together! I came across this gem today – scuba diving together in the South China Sea off the islands of Palau Aur Malaysia! We weren’t even an official couple yet in this photo but the instructor had paired us up as Scuba partners. I’ll never forget turning around under the sea to find that Cameron was gone and I bolted up to the top of the water before being jerked back down by our instructor who told us to slowly proceed to the top in a circular motion. Once we got to the top we saw Cameron floating way off from us – he had a nosebleed in his mask and didn’t tell me he was going up. I honestly think that may have been one of the first real moments that I realized how much I cared for him when I turned around and saw that he was gone! My heart sank as I thought the worst (shark!) thankfully he was ok and we ended up together in the long run. Still have our scuba license… it won’t be the last time we dive together!
